Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stepdown unit at Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. The role is full-time with night shift and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.

You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate care across disciplines, execute physician orders, and assist in discharge planning while supporting a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months (180 days) of hire or transfer date.
• BLS within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from Tennessee Board of Nursing or multi-state license (Compact State) before hire.

Responsibilities

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
