Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced registered nurse for full-time Cardiovascular Surgery support. You’ll advocate for patient care plans, monitor conditions, and ensure accurate execution of physician orders.

You’ll lead discharge planning with the care team to secure safe transitions home. The role requires TN RN licensure or compact state recognition and a current BLS.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR compact-state license.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or professional licensure at hire.

• Advocate & Strategist: You will bring patient care plans to lifeâimplementing, monitoring, and evolving them to meet the unique needs of those in your care.

• Vigilant Communicator: Beyond just "recording" data, you will be the expert voice for your patients, monitoring conditions and communicating vital updates to the team in real-time.

• Precision Execution: With a keen eye for detail, you'll interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring clinical accuracy at every turn.

• Bridge to Home: You'll lead the discharge planning process from day one, collaborating across the care team to ensure your patients have everything they need for a safe and confident transition home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
