Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN, seeks an experienced ED nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic emergency department. You will develop individualized care plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to support timely decisions and smooth patient flow.

The role requires active RN licensure in Tennessee (or a multi-state Compact license), a nursing diploma, and ACLS/PALS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TN or a compact state recognized for multi-state practice.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
• Professional licensure required at time of hire.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

• 1 year of ED experience preferred.
