Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Med Surg department in Murfreesboro, TN. The role emphasizes charge nurse leadership, coordinating patient assignments, and providing clinical resources on the unit.

You will guide the recovery process after Cardiac, IR, and EP procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols. You'll monitor post-procedural recovery in real time and communicate shifts to the care team for timely adjustments.

• Manage the full discharge process, ensuring patients and families transition from the unit with clarity and confidence.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
