Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the St. Vincent Stress Center in Indianapolis, IN.

You’ll perform bio-psychosocial assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, and participate in treatment team conferences to align goals with patient needs. You’ll lead or co-lead group therapy sessions, evaluate responses to interventions, and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire (are accepted by AHA or ARC).
• RN credential from Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments and develop a nursing plan of care.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to plan and revise goals and interventions.
• Implement nursing plan of care and co-lead group therapy sessions as needed.
• Evaluate patient response and revise care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.

• Schedule: Days | Full-time | 7am to 7:30pm | Every third weekend, holiday rotation

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
• Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
