Job summary

Ascension in Milwaukee, WI is hiring a registered nurse to provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with facility policies. You will perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments and develop a nursing plan of care aligned with the master treatment plan.

You will participate in treatment team conferences, implement and co-lead group therapy, and evaluate patient responses to interventions, collaborating with the team to adjust goals as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire, accepted by AHA/Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse licensure required prior to hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

Provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Performs initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice. Develops a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
• Participates in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient.
• Implements nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients.
• Evaluates patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
