Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis seeks a Nurse Graduate Residency Coordinator to advance the Clinical Professional Development program.

This full-time day position supports new graduate nurses, develops evidence-based curricula, and ensures alignment with patient care standards across the unit. Based in Indianapolis, IN, the role requires BSN, RN licensure in Indiana, 3–5 years of RN experience, and strong project-management and teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of RN experience.
• Must have strong project-management skills.
• Must have educator experience and enjoy a teaching environment.
• BSN is required; a diploma with licensure is acceptable where noted.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees the nursing residency program, advising on patient care standards and care plans.
• Oversees and ensures plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated and coordinates resources.
• May supervise nursing staff.
• Coordinates, assembles, and maintains documentation for the program.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Develops and oversees program, making recommendations and acting as a resource for all nursing staff related to patient care and clinical standards, policies and procedures. Develops and documents care plans and therapy programs.
• Oversees and ensures plan of care therapy program is implemented as indicated. Ensures necessary resources and/or equipment is obtained as ordered.
• May supervise and direct nursing staff.
• Coordinates, assembles, and maintains documentation as required.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
• Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
• BSN required

Additional Preferences

• Must have 3 to 5 years of experience as a registered nurse
• Must have strong project management skills
• Must have previous educator experience and enjoy a teaching environment
