Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking a Tree Care Service (TCS) Business Developer to manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing across regional territories. You will collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and proposal administration to respond to bids and meet sales targets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of extensive B2B selling experience, strong presentation and communication skills, and a self-motivated, proactive approach; must be willing to travel to client sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Appropriate Tree Care Industry certifications (TCIA or Certified Arborist).
• Extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at the mid-to-senior levels, 3-5 years.
• Experience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirable.
• Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task in a large territory.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with a CRM or SFA tool is beneficial.
• Proven track record of sales goal attainment in a longer selling cycle environment.
• Highly competitive, positive, and results-driven salesperson.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to build client-centric proposals.
• Self-motivation and self-directed
• Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell and estimate Tree Care Services work in regional territories.
• Perform sales prospecting using consultative techniques to build relationships, marketing, and pricing.
• Develop Tree Care programs and estimates for existing clients with Account Managers and Branch Manager.
• Conduct heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, and web demonstrations; negotiate contracts with minimal supervision.
• Network to increase penetration for new tree care services accounts in targeted accounts.
• Achieve sales goals and work independently.
• Log activity consistently in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with internal resources to drive larger sales and opportunities.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision makers.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Communicate proactively with all decision makers and influencers.
• Plan daily, meet activity benchmarks, and close business.
