Job summary

The role requires a CDL (Class A or B), must be 21+, and strong verbal and written communication. You will follow instructions, pass an English assessment, and perform track maintenance, equipment operation, and safety compliance daily.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or older.
• CDL of class A or B.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, including rules, bulletins and regulatory documents.
• Must complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational guidelines, and FRA requirements.
• Handle and transport track materials and equipment using appropriate devices.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, installations on tracks as needed.
• Maintain trackbed, remove and replace ballast, tamp ballast, assist with ballast unloading.
• Operate equipment safely to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, and use pullers to remove spikes.
• Additional duties as needed.
