Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional to maintain and repair tracks within a designated territory. The role ensures safe and efficient train movement by performing maintenance, repairs, and installations.

A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required at hire, with medical and motor vehicle requirements per FMCSA. The position offers field work across multiple sites with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL Class A or B required at hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, guidelines, and FRA requirements.
• Transport track materials and equipment using appropriate load/unload devices.
• Perform regular maintenance, repairs, installations on tracks.
• Maintain trackbed: ballast removal/replacement, tamping, ballast car unloading.
• Operate equipment safely to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, use pullers to remove spikes.
• Other duties as assigned.
