Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional to maintain and repair railroad tracks across a designated territory. You will contribute to safe, efficient train movement by performing maintenance, installation, and inspection tasks in various weather conditions and locations.

Applicants must have a CDL, be at least 21, and demonstrate strong communication skills. A compulsory English assessment is required before interview; willingness to travel and work overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL (Class A or B)
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to complete English assessment before interview

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and FRA requirements
• Handle and transport track materials and equipment using appropriate load/unload devices
• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of track components as needed
• Maintain trackbed by removing ballast, tamping, and unloading ballast from cars
• Operate equipment to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, and remove spikes
• Additional duties as assigned
