Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional to maintain and improve railroad tracks within a designated territory. You will perform essential maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure safe, efficient train movement across North America.

The role requires a CDL, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. This full-time position involves on-site work with potential travel and shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Holds a valid CDL (Class A or B).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety rules.
• Must complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and customers.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and FRA requirements.
• Transport track materials and equipment using appropriate load/unload devices.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, installations on tracks as required.
• Maintain trackbed by removing ballast, tamping, and unloading ballast cars.
• Operate equipment to drive spikes, adjust track bolts, and use pullers as needed.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
