Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional to maintain and repair railroad tracks within a designated territory, ensuring safe, efficient train movement across North America. You will work with a team to perform essential maintenance, installations, and ballast work while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a CDL at hire, physical readiness, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• CDL Class A or B required at hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow complex instructions and safety rules.
• Must complete English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and FRA requirements.
• Transport track materials and equipment using appropriate load/unload devices.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, installations, and removal of track components.
• Maintain trackbed by removing/replacing ballast and tamping.
• Operate equipment to drive spikes and adjust track bolts; use pullers as needed.
