Job summary

Union Pacific Corporation seeks a Track Laborer - Regional to maintain and repair railroad tracks within a designated territory. You will contribute to safe, efficient train movement and support a workforce with 150+ years of rail experience.

The role requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) on hire, a valid driver’s license, and a clean MVR. Applicants must complete an English assessment before interview and be prepared for demanding outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A or B at hire.
• FMCSA medical qualifications must be met for commercial drivers.
• Applicant must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
• Must successfully complete an English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers and effectively handle controversy.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, FRA requirements and operating guidelines.
• Handle and transport track materials and equipment using appropriate devices.
• Perform regular maintenance, repairs, installations and removals of track components.
• Maintain trackbed, ballast handling and unloading as needed.
• Operate equipment safely to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, and use pullers for spikes.
