Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager 2 (RSM) to oversee occupational safety across profit centers, implement safety policies, and communicate safety needs to the Safety Director. The role requires coordinating training, audits, and corrective actions while driving regional SH&E initiatives.

Expect 5+ years in safety management, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and up to 75% travel during onboarding with later adjustments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems.
• Preferred certifications: OHST, CHST, SMS, GSP.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety management at assigned profit centers and implement safety programs.
• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve performance.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Sunbelt policies.
• Train Safety Coordinators and lead regional safety initiatives.
• Track performance data and support incident investigations and near-misses.
• Develop and execute an annual SH&E business plan with regional targets.
• Lead Safety Coordinator calls and boot camps in the region.
