Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager 2 to lead safety management across assigned profit centers and ensure adherence to safety policies. You will report safety issues to the Safety Director and drive continuous improvement.

The role involves inspections, audits, and training, plus developing a regional SH&E plan and leading Safety Coordinator meetings. Travel up to 75% is required during onboarding and may decrease later.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Safety, Health and Environmental Management.
• OHST, CHST, SMS, or GSP certifications preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Preparing reports and recommending procedures to improve organizational performance.
• Overseeing the integrity and quality of Sunbelt Rentals safety protocols within branches.
• Conducts safety compliance inspections and audits per program criteria.
• Provides training and guidance to Safety Coordinators to ensure consistent policy execution.
• Tracks and trends regions to identify where safety lagging data appears; supports annual SH&E business planning.
