Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager 2 to oversee occupational safety across assigned profit centers, enforce safety policies, and communicate issues to the Safety Director. You will lead inspections, training, and corrective actions while coordinating with leadership to meet annual SH&E targets.

The role requires up to 75% travel, a Bachelor’s in OSH or related field with 5+ years of SH&E experience, and certifications such as OHST/CHST/SMS/GSP are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years in Safety/SH&E management systems and implementation of safety programs
• Preferred safety certifications: OHST, CHST, SMS, GSP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 75%
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve performance
• Oversee safety protocols across branches within region
• Conduct safety inspections and audits per program criteria
• Provide training to Safety Coordinators to ensure consistent policy application
• Identify deficiencies and mandate corrective actions with deadlines
• Assist Branch Safety Coordinator with training and safety meetings
• Track regional performance using incident data for lead/lag indicators
• Collaborate with VP and Regional Managers to develop annual SH&E plan
• Lead Safety Coordinator calls and annual boot camp in region
• Support investigation of incidents and near-misses with PCM/Service Manager
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and safety stand-downs
