Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager 2 to oversee occupational safety management across profit centers. You will implement safety programs, ensure policy adherence, and report safety issues to the Safety Director.

You will lead inspections, train coordinators, drive corrective actions, and collaborate with senior leaders to develop a regional SH&E plan and annual targets. Travel up to 75% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or equivalent work experience with 5+ years in SH&E.
• Preferred safety certifications OHST, CHST, SMS, GSP.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to present to individuals or groups.
• Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan with measurable goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve performance.
• Oversee safety protocols at branches within the region.
• Conduct safety compliance inspections and audits using established criteria.
• Provide training to Safety Coordinators to ensure consistency.
• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with Branch Leaders.
• Track regional performance and support safety meetings and stand downs.
