Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a direct sales team of 7 to 10 Account Managers and to develop a strategy that meets and exceeds the team quota. You will maintain direct customer contact, report to the Director of Sales, and drive sales across DIA, Ethernet Point-to-Point, Colocation and IP Transit to SMB, corporate and enterprise segments on multiple levels.

• Experience leading a sales team and achieving quotas.
• Proven track record selling Cogent’s product set and finding new business.

Responsibilities

• Lead a direct sales team of 7–10 Regional, National and Global Account Managers.
• Develop and execute a Sales Strategy to meet and exceed team quota.
• Direct customer contact constitutes a major portion of the role and reports to the Director of Sales.
• Hire, train and develop AMs to sell DIA, Ethernet, Colocation and IP Transit across SMB to Enterprise segments.
