Job summary

Cogent Communications seeks a Sales Manager to lead a direct sales team of 7 to 10 Regional, National and Global Account Managers. Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet the assigned team quota, with direct customer contact as a major part of the role.

Reports to the Director of Sales. Responsibilities include hiring, training and developing AMs in selling DIA, Ethernet, Colocation and IP Transit across SMB to Enterprise segments globally.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success selling Cogent’s product set.
• Experience finding new business and coaching/management experience.
• A college degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop a diverse team of AMs in selling DIA, Ethernet, Colocation and IP Transit.
• Drive, meet and exceed sales revenue and productivity objectives.
• Manage pipeline for each sales rep.
• Rely on time management to achieve goals/metrics for AMs.
