Cogent Communications is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a team of 7–10 Account Managers and drive a proactive sales strategy across SMB to Enterprise segments. The role requires direct customer engagement and strong leadership to exceed quotas.

The position is in-office, with travel as needed, and Cogent offers competitive compensation including base salary, uncapped commission, bonuses, stock options, benefits, and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success selling Cogent’s product set.
• Experience finding new business and growing accounts.
• Strong team leadership, coaching and management experience.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a direct sales team of 7–10 Regional, National and Global Account Managers.
• Develop and execute a Sales Strategy to meet and exceed the team quota.
• Maintain direct customer contact as a major part of the role.
• Hire, train and develop AMs for DIA, Ethernet, Colocation and IP Transit sales.
