Job summary

Cogent Communications in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a direct sales team of 7–10 account managers and drive a strategic sales plan across SMB to Enterprise segments. The role focuses on hiring, coaching and performance, with heavy customer contact and quota attainment.

You will report to the Director of Sales, travel as needed, and enjoy a competitive compensation package featuring a base salary, uncapped commissions, bonuses, stock options and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success selling Cogent’s product set.
• Experience finding new business and expanding accounts.
• Strong team leadership, coaching and management experience.
• CRM proficiency and PC-based applications (Word, Excel) required.
• Some travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop a team of Account Managers in DIA, Ethernet, Colocation and IP Transit sales.
• Drive revenue and exceed sales quotas; manage regional/global accounts.
• Maintain pipeline visibility and drive opportunity progress.
• Collaborate with director of sales to align strategy and execution.
