Job summary

Cogent Communications is seeking a Sales Director to lead a sales team of Sales Managers and their reps from an in-office location in Phoenix. The role focuses on developing and executing a sales strategy to achieve revenue quotas, while maintaining direct customer contact and coaching the team in selling Cogent products.

Candidates should have a proven telecom/tech sales track record, experience building new business, and strong leadership including management of sales managers.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of success selling Telecom/Technology products.
• Experience finding new business.
• Strong team leadership and management experience, including managing Sales Managers.
• College degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a sales team of Sales Managers and their reps.
• Develop and implement a sales strategy to meet new revenue quotas.
• Direct customer contact as a major duty.
• Coach and train managers and reps in selling Cogent products.
