Job summary

NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Regional Recruiter to generate and convert high-quality leads into applications and hires for multiple facilities. You will engage with colleges, attend career events, and manage outreach efforts to build diverse candidate pools.

Role requires field-based recruitment across several counties, strong communication skills, and ability to adapt sourcing strategies to local labor markets. Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources or related field.
• Able to travel and work in multiple NC counties as part of regional recruitment.
• Strong communication and public outreach skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with colleges, universities, and professional boards.
• Gather information on recruitment and retention issues for feedback to HR.
• Attend NC DAC career events and local job fairs.
• Present to students about careers in NC DAC.
• Develop presentations and maintain applicant tracking spreadsheets.
• Promote positions via advertising, social media, and associations.
