Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction seeks a Western Regional Recruiter (Agency HR Consultant I) to build a strong pool of candidates for Correctional Officers, Probation/Parole Officers, and other roles. You will coordinate region-specific recruitment efforts, events, and sourcing activities in multiple counties, with field-based responsibilities and occasional travel.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; or GED plus 3 years of progressive HR experience; or equivalent.
• Experience planning and implementing strategic field recruitment initiatives.
• Experience using social media tools and electronic platforms in recruitment.
• Experience sourcing candidates through various web-based HR/recruitment platforms.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment planning and sourcing for NC DAC regional vacancies.
• Organize recruitment events and candidate engagement.
• Collaborate with colleges, universities, and professional boards to plan recruitment initiatives.
• Prepare presentations and maintain applicant tracking spreadsheets for position tracking.
