North Carolina Department of Adult Correction seeks a Regional Recruiter to build a strong pool of correctional officers by engaging with colleges, professional boards, and local communities across Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, and surrounding counties. The role focuses on lead generation, application conversion, and sustaining hiring pipelines with targeted outreach.

The position requires field-based recruitment across multiple counties, with travel and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or GED with 3 years progressive HR/recruitment experience.
• Experience planning and implementing strategic field recruitment initiatives.
• Experience using social media tools and electronic platforms in recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with colleges, universities, and professional boards to plan recruitment initiatives.
• Gathering information to improve recruitment effectiveness.
• Participating in NC DAC career and hiring events and job fairs.
• Engaging with students about career opportunities within NC DAC.
• Preparing presentations and maintaining spreadsheets for applicant tracking.
• Utilizing advertising, marketing, and social media to promote positions.
• Communicating effectively with applicants and stakeholders at all levels.
