Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Regional Product Support Engineer in Oregon with 5+ years of related experience to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug complex electro‑mechanical equipment and software. You will support field engineers, technicians, and customers, working in a hybrid onsite environment to resolve escalations and implement robust solutions.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, communicate root causes, and contribute to site performance improvements while traveling

Qualifications

Requires strong technical troubleshooting skills across electro‑mechanical systems and software.
Experience communicating complex issues to customers and field teams.
Proficient with standard data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation tools.

Responsibilities

Acts as a subject matter expert on high level technical issues and escalations.
Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product teams diagnosing complex equipment and software.
Responds to escalations where first-line support has failed and identifies solutions.
Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems to engineering teams; may assist in customer installation and training.
Partners with account teams to present problems, root causes, and proposed solutions to customers.
Identifies opportunities for performance improvements via data collection/analysis at customer sites.
Drives required actions at customer sites to resolve escalations and prevent repeats.
Liaises with customers, product groups, field sales and other teams to close issues.
