Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Regional Product Support Engineer in Oregon to act as a technical backbone for field teams and customers. This role requires diagnosing and resolving complex electro-mechanical equipment issues, including hardware, software, and networked systems, with a focus on rapid, accurate resolutions.

You will be a liaison between customers and internal teams, providing guidance, training, and root-cause analysis while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s; or a PhD without experience.
• Reads electrical/mechanical schematics and understands operation manuals.
• Proficient in data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets and presentations.
• Formulates root cause hypotheses with detailed problem statements and success criteria.

Responsibilities

• Provides expert technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems and software issues.
• Escalates to design/engineering and coordinates customer installation and training as needed.
• Represents the problem statement, root causes, and proposed solutions to customers with clear buy-in.
