Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to act as the owner's representative during the preconstruction phase for Amazon's facilities. You will manage cross-functional projects from site selection to contract execution, coordinating with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Finance, and Construction across the region.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years in architect, engineer, construction management, or related role.
5+ years project management experience from design through operation.
Ability to travel up to 60% within assigned regions.

Responsibilities

Independently manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion and contract execution.
Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, Launch/Startup, and external partners to secure resources and schedules.
Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management per Amazon standards.
Manage multiple concurrent projects across locations and track budgets, schedules, and cash flow.
