Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Preconstruction Manager for GES NA Design & Construction to act as owner’s representative during the preconstruction phase for industrial facilities across the region. You will independently manage complex projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

You will lead planning, design validation, budgeting, and KPI-driven governance while mitigating risks and ensuring adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience from design through operation.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management per Amazon standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent large industrial projects across locations; drive timely decisions and unblock blockers.
• Assess project performance via KPIs for safety, quality, cost, and schedule; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve upstream issues to support a clean handoff to Construction Manager.
