Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to act as the owner's representative during preconstruction for fulfillment centers and related facilities. You will manage cross-functional projects across multiple regions, coordinating with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Finance, and Construction to define scope, budget, and schedule.

You will travel up to 60% and may relocate closer to an office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of project management experience spanning design through implementation and operation.
Experience with packaging, processing, or logistic facilities with complex equipment.
Ability to travel up to 60% within assigned regions.

Responsibilities

Independently manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
Lead coordination with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and external stakeholders to secure resources and milestones.
Own budget tracking, schedule management, and cashflow forecasting across projects.
