Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Preconstruction Manager to serve as Amazon's owner's representative during the preconstruction phase of facility delivery. You will manage complex industrial projects from site selection to permitting and contract execution, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to align scope, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, owner’s representation, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management across design, procurement, and construction.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistics facilities with complex equipment.
• Ability to travel up to 60% within assigned regions.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and external stakeholders to secure resources and drive milestones.
• Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management in line with Amazon standards.
