Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Preconstruction Manager to act as owner's representative during preconstruction. You will manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects across regions, from site selection to permitting and contract execution, including budget and schedule control.

Partnering with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Finance, and Construction, you will coordinate with architects, engineers, developers, and AHJs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager or related role.
• 5+ years of project management experience from design through operation.
• Travel up to 60% within assigned regions.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through design completion and permitting.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and external stakeholders to secure resources and set milestones.
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management ensuring compliance with Amazon's standards.
• Own budget tracking, schedule management, and cash flow forecasting across projects.
• Review contracts and permits; liaise with AHJs for regulatory compliance.
