Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to serve as Amazon's owner's representative during the preconstruction phase of facility delivery. You will independently manage complex cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects, from site selection and validation through design management, permitting, and contract execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction management.
3+ years of construction or project management experience.
Experience in distribution center/logistics environment preferred.
Ability to travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

Independently manage cross-functional industrial pre-construction projects from site selection through permitting and contract execution.
Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management with internal/external teams.
Own budget tracking, schedule management, and cashflow forecasting for assigned projects.
Coordinate with AHJ for permitting, zoning, fire code, and building code requirements.
Prepare status and risk reports for leadership and ensure timely handoffs to Construction Manager.
