Job summary

The USO in Orlando is seeking an Area Operations Manager to oversee programs and services across multiple centers and field sites. This role leads staff and volunteers, manages budgets, and collaborates with military and community partners to expand impact.

Responsibilities include developing area-wide plans, coordinating events, and ensuring facilities meet safety and quality standards in support of military personnel and their families. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years in programs/events/operations
• 1 year supervisory experience
• Nonprofit/military/global organization experience preferred
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency with computers and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Manage operational procedures for Centers ensuring facilities are safe and well maintained
• Ensure adherence to USO policies across operations
• Oversee area-wide programs, services, activities, and events
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure volunteers and supplies meet program needs
• Develop area-wide fundraising and outreach plans
• Lead the planning and execution of special fundraising events
• Build relationships with military, local business, and community leaders
