Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an IT Support Technician to diagnose and resolve technical issues on workstations, mobile devices, and entry-level servers. You will provide onsite and remote support, document interactions, and ensure KPI-aligned ticket resolution.

Responsibilities include hardware repair, VPN trouble-shooting, OS configuration, data backup, and routine maintenance. Travel to Philadelphia-area sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with hardware assembly, maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS installation, recovery and updates.
• Familiarity with antivirus, security and firewall technologies.
• Working knowledge of business networking incl. Active Directory and file sharing.
• Solid troubleshooting across OS, hardware and network issues.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues involving workstations, mobile devices, OS, software, hardware, and entry-level server support.
• Provide onsite and remote customer support with documentation and follow-up.
• Prioritize and resolve tickets per SOPs and KPIs.
• Troubleshoot desktop problems, VPN connectivity, hardware failures, and basic server functions.
• Perform hardware repair and routine maintenance, including diagnostics and cleaning.
• Run network cabling, install patch panels, and set up racks using wiring schemas.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems, antivirus tools, and office suites.
• Back up data and perform system restores as needed.
• Travel onsite to local client premises within the Philadelphia Metro Region.
