Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager, Grid Components to drive growth across the Mid-Atlantic region. You will serve as a trusted advisor to utilities, channel partners, consultants, and internal teams while promoting Grid Components solutions that support a more sustainable, reliable energy future.

You will combine technical expertise with a strategic sales mindset to identify opportunities, influence specifications, expand market presence, and develop long-term customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience in utility, transmission and distribution, or medium/high-voltage industry.
• Strong understanding of power systems, electrical distribution, substations, and related equipment.
• Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding sales targets and business growth objectives.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30% to 50% throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, growth, and profitability targets for the Grid Components portfolio.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across utilities, EPCs, distributors, cooperatives, and industrial customers.
• Build strong customer relationships and become a trusted advisor through regular engagement, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Influence customer specifications and support demand-creation activities with consultants, engineering firms, and key decision-makers.
• Collaborate with Front-End Sales and Account Management teams to create and execute strategic sales plans.
• Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and monthly activity reporting.
• Deliver technical product training, webinars, seminars, and sales enablement activities for customers and channel partners.
• Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic planning and business growth.
