Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to bridge sales teams and customers across the North East, South Central, and Western USA. You will travel to customer sites, identify service opportunities, and deliver solutions for power transformers and HV breakers.

This is a remote role with 50-60% travel. The role requires deep technical knowledge in assembly, digital monitoring equipment, electrical testing, controls, repairs, and oil processing, with a focus on grid

Qualifications

• Work authorization to be employed in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience with transformers and HV breakers, 4+ years as field crew lead.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and schematics.
• Advanced computer skills; ability to learn CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel 50-60% and operate company vehicle in substation environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site assessments and technical consultations to identify service opportunities and tailor solutions for grid assets.
• Provide technical support on electrical testing, controls, and oil processing to inform customer decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, safety, and planning teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Support proposals, scopes, and quotes addressing customer needs and driving service sales growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, EPCs, and industrial stakeholders.
• Generate detailed field reports and maintain CRM records accurately.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events and contribute to market presence.
