Job summary

Canon USA is seeking a dedicated field-support engineer to provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for Canon systems. The role includes regional training on repairs, and guidance on efficient resource use to improve service delivery.

The candidate should have a strong technical background, strong communication skills, and readiness to obtain required security clearances. 24/7 availability and collaboration with Product support are required to succeed.

Qualifications

Printer knowledge and testing/diagnostic applications.
Ability to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Ability to create solutions for high-level problems.
Good writing, speaking and listening skills.
Understands computer science, mechanical and electrical theory.

Responsibilities

Provides on-going technical, on-site and phone support to troubleshoot complex problems.
Provides regional instruction on adjustments, repairs, upgrades and troubleshooting procedures.
Organizes information to help engineers perform duties efficiently.
Maintains and updates problem records and escalates to Product support as needed.
Manages regional FCO database for compliance and installation/disposition.
Works with Product support on knowledge sharing and best practices.
Assists with special projects as assigned by regional service Director.
