Job summary

Canon USA is seeking a technically capable individual to diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures and service equipment to Canon standards. You will maintain knowledge across product groups, deliver efficient field or on-site support, and ensure proper documentation and asset control.

The role requires a willingness to travel, a 24/7 shift-capable mindset, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete PDIF new-hire class.
• Capable of travel with valid driver's license and driving record.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment including shift work and on-call rotations.
• Ability to obtain required security or other clearances as needed.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and be active more than half the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple product groups including basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with efficient, responsive field/shop/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, field reports, expense reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and maintain Canon equipment.
• Escalate and resolve technical or customer-service issues across territories as requested.
