Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking technicians for on-site service and field support. You will diagnose hardware, software and network issues, repair equipment to Canon standards, and maintain documentation and inventory for multiple product groups.

Candidates should have a HS Diploma or GED, be able to travel, lift 50 pounds, and work in a 24/7 environment with on-call rotations. Security clearances may be required for customer sites.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1–2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record).
• Capability to work in a 24/7 environment, with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain security/clearances required by customers to enter premises.
• Must lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting/diagnostics.
• Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and assist with escalated issues.
