Job summary

ABB is seeking a Service Operations leader in the US to manage Field Service within the Automation Energy Industries Central region. You will lead a regional team of Field Service Engineers, ensuring safety, compliance, and on-time delivery of services and upgrades.

The role requires a strong background in field service operations, engineering knowledge, and experience with ABB systems. Hybrid work model and collaboration with global teams are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or two-year degree with significant experience and accomplishments.
• Experience with 800xA, Harmony/Symphony Plus, or ABB heritage control systems.
• Sound knowledge of ABB Field Service tools and methodologies.
• General Product knowledge of PLCs, DCS, SCADA, Process Instrumentation, Networking, and related protocols.
• Basic industry knowledge in Power generation, Transmission, Pulp & Paper, Metals & Mining, Oil & Gas, Utilities & Water.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication with high attention to detail.
• Must have a current visa or be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Champion health, safety, environmental, security, and regulatory compliance across field service activities.
• Lead and develop a regional team of field service professionals, including resource planning and performance management.
• Drive financial and contract execution, ensuring adherence to contracts, budgets, productivity targets, and business goals.
• Oversee delivery of field service activities, small projects, and system upgrades with quality and schedule adherence.
• Improve customer satisfaction and regional business performance through trusted relationships.
