Job summary

ABB is seeking a Regional Technical Advisor Manager to lead medium- to high-complexity service work on ABB DCS systems across the United States. You will identify modernization opportunities and drive improvements in system performance while partnering with customers and ABB teams.

This hybrid role requires extensive travel (80% of the time) and strong technical leadership to mentor field engineers, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure safe, high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation with electrical knowledge, programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with DCS, SCADA, and PLCs.
• Willingness to travel 80% of the time across the United States with occasional international travel.
• Able to perform on-site troubleshooting and lift equipment.
• Fluent in English and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Execute medium- to high-complexity service activities for ABB DCS systems in line with customer scope and ABB guidelines.
• Drive customer satisfaction and retention through high-quality execution and clear communication of scope, timelines, risks, and plans.
• Identify service growth opportunities across the installed base by assessing system performance and lifecycle needs.
• Mentor Field Service Engineers and lead complex site activities while staying current on new technologies.
