Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled Field Service role based in the United States. The position involves working on-site with customers to identify operational improvements, perform field service tasks, and execute installations and upgrades across critical power equipment.

Responsibilities include supervising technicians, preparing material lists, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Excellent communication and project management skills are a must, with eligibility to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 4+ years’ experience servicing critical power equipment.
• Associates degree in electrical technology with 6+ years’ experience servicing critical power equipment.
• High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work or military experience (8+ years) servicing critical power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to identify opportunities for operational improvement and pain points.
• Perform field service tasks and on-site troubleshooting within certified areas.
• Execute installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, and end-of-life services.
• Support certification of Associate Field Service Technicians and Field Service Technicians.
• Coach technicians and supervise complex site activities; act as trainer when needed.
• Prepare material lists and ensure materials, parts, and equipment meet quality standards.
