Job summary

Waters is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer (ASE) to service BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments in the Burlington, NC area. The role requires self‑start capability, remote work ability, and occasional overnight travel, with on‑call rotations every ~6 weeks.

You will respond to customer needs, perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure instrument specifications and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related disciplines OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
Understanding of electronics, electro‑mechanical devices (Mechatronics), PLCs, and pneumatics.
Intermediate knowledge of information systems networking architecture design and set up.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments.
Collaborate across service and support teams to drive field service revenue through PMs and equipment moves.
Lead customer expectations by communicating work performed and follow-up plan.
Collaborate with customers to schedule and complete system upgrades.
Document all customer complaints in proper systems of record.
Maintain spare parts inventory and company equipment in good condition.
Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation and overnight travel as needed.
