Job summary

Waters is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer to service BD Advanced Diagnostics customers within an assigned geographic territory and nationwide as needed. The role requires self-management, remote work capability, and occasional overnight travel.

You will respond to service needs, perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, ensuring instruments meet specifications. The position emphasizes collaboration with customer IT and lab leadership for software upgrades and routine

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and relevant technical knowledge.
Strong understanding of electronics, mechatronics, PLCs, and pneumatics.
Experience communicating with IT and lab leadership for software upgrades and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
Lead customer expectations and provide clear follow-up plans.
Collaborate with customers to schedule and complete system upgrades as needed.
Document all customer complaints in appropriate systems for resolution and investigation.
Maintain spare parts inventory, company vehicle, and equipment in good condition.
Travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays as needed.
Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation approximately every 6 weeks.
