Job summary

Waters is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer to service BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments within a regional territory, with national travel as needed. The role emphasizes hands-on electronics, mechatronics, and computer systems expertise, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The position requires flexible hours, on-call rotation, and the ability to lift heavy equipment. A Bachelor’s in Engineering or equivalent experience is required, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field OR 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics, mechatronics, PLCs, and pneumatics.
• Intermediate networking/system design knowledge for IT coordination.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and be on call as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift 30–70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair BD instruments to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with service and support teams to drive field service revenue.
• Communicate work performed and provide follow-up plans to customers.
• Coordinate system upgrades with customers and document issues in systems.
