Job summary

Waters seeks an Automation Servicer Engineer to service BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments, traveling within the Burlington, NC area and nationwide as needed. The ASE works remotely with minimal supervision, installs, maintains, upgrades, and repairs complex electro-mechanical systems.

Candidates bring a engineering degree or 10+ years' experience, with knowledge of electronics, PLCs, pneumatics, and basic IT networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of electronics, PLCs and pneumatics.
• Experience with information systems networking and software upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade and repair BD instruments to meet specifications.
• Collaborate across service teams to drive field service revenue.
• Communicate work performed and provide follow-up plans.
• Schedule and complete system upgrades with customers.
• Document all customer interactions in the systems of record.
