Job summary

Waters is seeking an Automation Servicer Engineer to service BD Advanced Diagnostics customers within a defined geographic area and nationally as needed. The role emphasizes self-motivation, remote work capability, and travel up to 50% with overnight stays.

The candidate will respond to service needs, perform installations, upgrades and repairs on laboratory instruments, and maintain documentation in departmental systems while ensuring compliance with vendor credentialing programs and Real ID

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related disciplines.
Understanding of electronics, electro-mechanical devices (Mechatronics), PLCs, and pneumatics.
Intermediate knowledge of information systems networking architecture design and set up.
Intermediate understanding of computer software operating systems and the ability to speak with customer’s IT personnel and lab leadership to schedule and complete routine software upgrades and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
Lead customer expectations and communicate work performed with follow-up plan.
Collaborate with customers to schedule and complete system upgrades.
Document all customer complaints in systems of record.
