Job summary

Priority Patient Transport is seeking a Regional Team Leader for the Roanoke region. This role oversees daily field operations, maintains facilities, vehicles, and supplies, and develops strong customer service relationships with regional facilities.

The position reports to the Director of Operations and requires initiative and discretion in handling sensitive information. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in EMS/Medical Transport with leadership experience, a high school diploma

Qualifications

• 5+ years EMS/medical transport leadership experience.
• Strong decision making and leadership abilities.
• Clean driving record and DMV check.
• Knowledge of Virginia OEMS policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all certifications and qualifications as a field provider per Virginia OEMS and agency policies.
• Provide general oversight to agency field staff, including counseling, training, disciplinary action, and recognition programs.
• Assess agency operations with focus on safety, medical care, and customer service and prompt improvements.
• Communicate with dispatch, maintenance, acquisitions, HR, and billing.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations in daily operations.
• Develop and implement program and policy changes to improve operations and safety.
• Represent the agency professionally in meetings and committees.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, technology, regulation, and laws in medical transport.
• Conduct internal investigations into policy violations and recommend corrective actions.
• Operate as part of the on-duty supervisor rotation.
• Assist in recruitment and retention efforts.
• Related duties as assigned.
